Softball
Don't let your daughter miss out on the best softball experience she can have! Germantown Little League softball program is looking forward to another great year. Our goal is to make our league fun and educational for all levels. We work with the Germantown High School Girls softball coaches to provide clinics for the girls. We strive to focus on the fundamentals of the game as well as promoting good sportsmanship among the girls and coaches.
All girls softball programs for all levels will be playing interleague play with Grafton, Cedarburg, Menomonee Falls and possibly West Bend, except Tee Ball. League play for the girls will open the second week in May and will run through the end of June. The season length and games will be finalized once the number of teams for each division is determined. Spring season softball ages are determined by the age of your child as of December 31, 2014.
4 - 6 Year Old (Tee Ball)
Players who are league age 4-6 are eligible to be selected to a Tee Ball team. Players who are league age 6 that have participated for one regular season in the Tee Ball Division are eligible to be selected to AA Division (machine pitch) team.
Tee Ball is an introductory division for children ages 4 thru 6 who are new to the game of baseball. Tee Ball is NOT intended to be competitive, but fun while learning the fundamentals of the game. Game scores and individual team standings are not recorded. Players will be exposed to the basics of baseball including hitting, catching, throwing and base running. Players hit balls placed upon a tee (coach/manager or parent pitching is forbidden). Players rotate positions every inning to assure they learn a variety of positions. There are no practices during the season and teams play 3 to 4 inning games twice a week. Games are 50 minutes long.
