Don't let your daughter miss out on the best softball experience she can have!  Germantown Little League softball program is looking forward to another great year. Our goal is to make our league fun and educational for all levels. We work with the Germantown High School Girls softball coaches to provide clinics for the girls. We strive to focus on the fundamentals of the game as well as promoting good sportsmanship among the girls and coaches.

All girls softball programs for all levels will be playing interleague play with Grafton, Cedarburg, Menomonee Falls and possibly West Bend, except Tee Ball.  League play for the girls will open the second week in May and will run through the end of June.  The season length and games will be finalized once the number of teams for each division is determined.  Spring season softball ages are determined by the age of your child as of December 31, 2014.

4 - 6 Year Old (Tee Ball)
Players who are league age 4-6 are eligible to be selected to a Tee Ball team.  Players who are league age 6 that have participated for one regular season in the Tee Ball Division are eligible to be selected to AA Division (machine pitch) team.

Tee Ball is an introductory division for children ages 4 thru 6 who are new to the game of baseball.  Tee Ball is NOT intended to be competitive, but fun while learning the fundamentals of the game.  Game scores and individual team standings are not recorded.  Players will be exposed to the basics of baseball including hitting, catching, throwing and base running.  Players hit balls placed upon a tee (coach/manager or parent pitching is forbidden).  Players rotate positions every inning to assure they learn a variety of positions.  There are no practices during the season and teams play 3 to 4 inning games twice a week.  Games are 50 minutes long.

6/7 & 8 Year Old (AA Machine Pitch)
Players who are league age 6-8 are eligible to be selected to AA League Division team (machine pitch) for the regular season.  Players who are league age 6 will have participated for one regular season in the Tee Ball Division.  The local league board of directors may decide the age-cutoffs within this age grouping.

These players are learning the fundamentals of the game.  Every inning each player bats and plays in the field.  A smaller sized, reduced-injury softball is used.  A coach uses a machine to pitch to their players.  Coaches are allowed on the field during the game to assist players in defensive assignments.  Game scores are not recorded.

9 & 10 Year Old (AAA)
Players who are league age 9-10 are eligible to be selected to AAA Little League Division team for the regular season.

Players in this league should know the fundamentals of the game.  Coaches begin assigning player's positions, yet each player is given the opportunity to play several defensive positions during league play.  Players begin pitching from 35 feet to the batters.  Stealing (when ball crosses home plate) and bunting are introduced and encouraged at this level.  No running on dropped third strike.

11 & 12 Year Old (Majors)
Players who are league age 11-12 are eligible to be selected to a Major Division team for the regular season.  The local league board of directors may decide to have a different age-cutoff for this division, provided it is within the grouping noted.

Players in this league should know the fundamentals of the game.  Coaches begin assigning player's positions.  Players pitch from 40 feet to the batters.  Stealing (when ball leaves the pitcher's hand), bunting, and running on dropped third strike are allowed and encouraged.

13 - 16 Year Old (Juniors)
Players who are league age 13-16 are eligible to be selected to a Junior League Division team for the regular season.  The local league board of directors may decide to have a different age-cutoff for this division, provided it is within the grouping noted.  The Junior division will be integrated with Menomonee Falls softball Juniors Division.
